Floral Designer | Retail Manager | Associate/Brand Ambassador

 

FLORAL DESIGNER

This position is an opportunity to create designer floral arrangements, hand-tied bouquets and wreaths in an elevated retail environment. Keeping with the Cadine aesthetic, you'll be involved in all aspects of the floral department from ordering flowers to creating arrangements.

Qualifications

Successful completion of Professional Florist Training Program or equivalency

  • At least one-year retail experience in floral design
  • Requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colours and flowers
  • Familiarity with flower and plant care, and handling of various cut fresh and dry botanicals
  • Work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills to successfully complete tasks
  • Able to carry up to 20kg up/down a flight of stairs
  • Mentally calculate price of florals quickly and accurately
  • Driver's License an asset
  • Available minimum of 24 hours per week
  • Available to work before and during major floral holidays

    Responsibilities

  • Receive and clean flowers, create arrangements, and fulfill flower orders
  • Knowledge of various types of plants and care
  • Maintain floral arrangements and cleanliness of work area
  • Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Process point of sales transactions

    ASSOCIATE/ BRAND AMBASSADOR

    The position is an opportunity to take an active role in shaping the future of Cadine. You will be contributing to our team environment by building brand awareness through creating meaningful experiences and maintaining customer relationships. 

    Qualifications

    Previous customer service experience

  • Outgoing and comfortable engaging with people
  • Communicates effectively to identify customer needs
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to carry up to 20kg up/down a flight of stairs
  • Familiarity with Shopify is an asset but not required
  • Proven sales record
  • An eye for visual displays and merchandising an asset
  • Embodies the Cadine lifestyle

    Responsibilities

    Provide courteous and professional experience to everyone who enters Cadine
  • Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and/or handle projects simultaneously
  • Resolving customer issues effectively at store level in a timely and positive manner
  • Perform point of sales transactions and merchandising tasks, such as receiving shipment, replenishment, and fitting room upkeep
  • Keep current and knowledgeable on store product and offerings
  • Ensure the interior/exterior storefront and display is tidy and visually appealing 
  • Takes pride in contributing to the overall success of Cadine

    RETAIL MANAGER

    This position is an opportunity to make real impact by building your team and leading a unique lifestyle store concept.

    Qualifications

    • Extraordinary leadership capabilities
    • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
    • Well-spoken and comfortable engaging with public
    • Preferred three years work experience in retail sales management or combination of knowledge, skills and experience
    • Preferred completion of post secondary education
    • Working knowledge of Mac OS
    • Familiarity with Shopify is an asset

    • Takes pride in personal appearance
    • Able to carry up to 20kg up/down a flight of stairs
    • Interest in interior design and florals also a bonus
    • Available minimum of 32 hours per week

    Responsibilities

    • Effective management in the day-to-day retail store operations
    • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
    • Upholding guest experience and processes
    • Scheduling, managing and assigning staff duties
    • Lead staff to work efficiently and to achieve organizational goals
    • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations and special events
    • Maintain window displays, and overall interior and exterior cleanliness of the storefront 
    • Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages  
    • Acts as a brand ambassador in the market to drive brand loyalty and business
    • Provide exceptional customer service
    • Awareness of market and clientele preferences and consumer demand
    • Work closely with our Business Association and others in the neighbourhood to build a community
