We're pleased to invite you to the in-store signing of French Ending / Une fin française, by author and illustrator, Kyla Bourgh, on Thursday, October 22nd. You'll have the opportunity to meet the author and hear her anecdotes about the fateful summer that inspired this metafiction. Author talk and discussion begins at 5:15pm. Limited spaces available.
Kyla Bourgh is a Canadian artist and writer born in 1978. She is a graduate of the Master of Visual Arts program at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She co-published Post Feminist Post from 2016-2019. French Ending is her first book published under her given name. It is also her first illustrated book. She lives and works in Vancouver BC ... for now.
Antonio Werli (b. 1980) is a translator from Spanish, Italian and English (Stefano D’Arrigo, Alberto Laiseca, Ronerto Bolaño, Ricardo Zelarayán, among others). He’s also an independent publisher and visual artist.
Claraquel Ediciones is an independent publishing project by Viviana Maidanik. It moves between reality and fiction in a playful, sensory and intimate way. From the margins of the book, it seeks out narratives where the visual and the literary enhance one another.
